Live-In Shift Services Overview
HomeWell Care Services is looking for committed Live-In Caregivers to stay in a client’s residence for extended periods. Caregivers follow a structured 24-hour live-in schedule based on the Weekly Schedule and Timesheet: Live-In.
 In this role, you will provide essential support for clients who need assistance with daily living, personal care, and mobility.

Work Schedule Expectations
Each 24-hour live-in shift includes both paid working hours and unpaid time (meals, off-duty, and sleep). Caregivers receive a private sleeping area, personal space, meals, and laundry access.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal care needs
  • Medication reminders
  • Preparing meals in accordance with dietary requirements
  • Transfer support, mobility assistance, and bedbound care
  • Care for individuals with dementia or developmental disabilities
  • Behavioral support as needed
  • Companionship and emotional engagement
  • Light housekeeping to ensure a safe environment
  • Adhering strictly to the Care Plan, documentation expectations, and time management

Compensation
  • $194.29 per day for standard live-in shifts
  •  Equivalent to about $70,000 annually for a full live-in role.
  •  Additional compensation provided when meal, off-duty, or sleep time is interrupted and documented.

Qualifications
  • Preferred Experience
    • 2+ years of caregiving
    • Bedbound care
    • Dementia care
    • Diabetes support
    • Hospice experience
    • Manual patient handling
    • Experience with gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and wheelchairs
  • Required
    • Successful completion of background check and drug screening
    •  Valid driver’s license
    •  Active car insurance
    •  Dependable transportation

Skills
  • Ability to navigate challenging behaviors and follow comprehensive care plans
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  •  Proactive approach to identifying and completing necessary tasks
  •  Meal preparation and adherence to dietary guidelines
  •  Experience assisting individuals with developmental disabilities
